In the Lincolnshire Wolds and in the surrounding district, both inland and towards the coast, there are many interesting villages and towns to visit. Here are a few villages and hamlets.

Many of these were much bigger and had a higher population in years gone by. The drop in population is largely due to less man power needed on the land. Even further back in time, the plague wiped out whole communities. Other villages did on develop for reasons which are not altogether clear.
