The Church is built of brick with a nave and chancel. It was completely
rebuilt in 1826. The present church probably replaced an earlier building
which would have stood on the same site. It contains a limestone carved
font which is said to have been rolled from a disused church at Fordington.
The Rectory is now a private house known as 'The Peacocks,' was built in
1852. It seems that the house was names after a vicar 1856, the Rev. Wilkinson
Affleck Peacock. For many years it was the home of Dr. LaPage who practiced
in Alford.
