Planned Main Events for
2009
'Tennyson Transformed':
A New Major Exhibition at The Collection between May and July 2009.
Current Partners: Tennyson Research Centre, The Collection, University
of Lincoln and the Sleaford Hub.
Major academic conference at the University of Lincoln 17 - 20 July
2009. Current Partners: University of Lincoln, Tennyson Society,
Tennyson Research Centre.
The development of the water pathway from Lincoln to Boston featuring
commissioned arts works, including benches, signposts, etc., by
various artists & craftspeople that feature Tennyson quotes.
These will form a permanent Tennyson sculpture trail on the 20-mile
path.
Consideration of Tennyson Country Weekend offer to be developed
as part of Visit Lincolnshire brand/programme.

Heritage Open Days to have poetry, Tennyson links, as a theme
Poetry Competition: Tennyson Soc, Bishop Grosseteste University
College, Lincolnshire Library Service
New Writing Commissions: Contemporary responses to Tennyson's writing
(including school visits in partnership with the Poetry Society)
WoldsWords Festival Tennyson theme 2009, including slots on Radio

Harrington Hall event

Annual Tennyson Day in London and Lincolnshire
