Planned Main Events for 2009

'Tennyson Transformed':
A New Major Exhibition at The Collection between May and July 2009. Current Partners: Tennyson Research Centre, The Collection, University of Lincoln and the Sleaford Hub.

Major academic conference at the University of Lincoln 17 - 20 July 2009. Current Partners: University of Lincoln, Tennyson Society, Tennyson Research Centre.

The development of the water pathway from Lincoln to Boston featuring commissioned arts works, including benches, signposts, etc., by various artists & craftspeople that feature Tennyson quotes. These will form a permanent Tennyson sculpture trail on the 20-mile path.

Consideration of Tennyson Country Weekend offer to be developed as part of Visit Lincolnshire brand/programme.

Heritage Open Days to have poetry, Tennyson links, as a theme

Poetry Competition: Tennyson Soc, Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincolnshire Library Service

New Writing Commissions: Contemporary responses to Tennyson's writing (including school visits in partnership with the Poetry Society)

WoldsWords Festival Tennyson theme 2009, including slots on Radio Lincolnshire
