South Thoresby "Thorir's" means farmstead (Danish) was "Toresbi" in the Domesday Book. This picture is to be found the dining room of the Vine Inn. It shows that there was a blacksmith in the building next to the Inn. The thatched roof behind the Smithy is that of the Vine Inn. A brilliant walk starts from the Church in the Village to Swaby through Swaby valley. |
